'The Dark Knight Rises' IMAX poster released

The poster for the IMAX release of 'The Dark Knight Rises' has been unveiled.

Showing Batman standing above Gotham City as it appears to burn in the background, it should increase the temperature of Batman fans from steady simmer to frisky boil (scroll down to check it out in its full glory).

The film, which has been shot in the giant IMAX format using IMAX cameras, as was its predecessor 'The Dark Knight', is set for release on July 20.

Elsewhere, Michael Caine has hinted that his character, Bruce Wayne's loyal butler and companion Alfred, has a pivotal role in the new film.

“It's such a plot point that I can't tell you, I think I'd go to jail if I told you, or I'd have to kill you!” he told Empire magazine.

“I get some great moments. I have a couple in this last one, too.”
