'This Is Where I Leave You' - back in production

It looks as if 'This is Where I Leave You', the Warner Brothers film which stars Jason Bateman in the lead role, is back on the release schedules, despite running into problems following the departure of the original director last May.

According to 'The Hollywood Reporter', the star of 'Arrested Development' is to attend casting sessions for the lead actress with new director Shawn Levy next week. Levy stepped in last November after original choice, 'Rock Of Ages' director, Adam Shankman, left the project.

It's rumoured that actresses Ari Graynor, Isla Fisher, Zoe Saldana, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Kathryn Hahn will be reading for the part of Bateman's love interest on Monday.

Other actors already in the frame for the movie include Goldie Hawn, Jason Sudeikis and Zac Efron.

The film is based on the best-selling humorous novel by Jonathan Tropper and tells the story of a man who discovers that his wife is cheating on him and then has to spend a week at home with his dysfunctional family, following the death of his parents. Tropper himself has written the script which is being produced by Levy and Paula Weinstein.

Bateman is currently starring with Melissa McCarthy in 'Identity Thief' which is battling poor reviews in the US following its release this weekend. He's also about to debut as a director himself with 'Bad Words'
