Hoskins gets ready for Doomsday

Bob Hoskins is getting ready for Doomsday.

Fortunately it's not the end of the world as we know it - the veteran actor has signed up to Neil Marshall's new film, an apocalyptic horror about the outbreak of a lethal virus in America.

Hundreds of thousands of people died from the virus (nicknamed 'The Reaper'), and to stop it spreading further authorities quarantined the country from the rest of the world.

Rhona Mitra, Adrian Lester and Alexander Siddig have also signed up, along with Sean Pertwee, Chris Robson and Emma Cleasby.

Filming is due to start on February 9 in South Africa and the UK.
