Ashton Kutcher, star of new rom-com What Happens In Vegas, has his own stories about Sin City - but they're all filed away under "BD".
BD means Before Demi, that period prior to meeting actress Demi Moore, who is now his wife.
Kutcher, who made his breakthrough with the celebrity prank show Punk'd and TV comedy series That 70's Show, once attended the Annual Video and Software Conference in the US's gambling capital, and turned the weekend into a blur of booze, high stakes gambling and porn stars.
“That was an insane weekend,” he told The Times. “I was there in Vegas to collect an award, and found out that the Adult Film Awards were happening the same night. I turned $1,000 into $25,000 playing craps, then ended up on stage with a rap group, with a bottle of champagne in one hand, standing next to Ron Jeremy, rapping to a sea of porn stars and silicone. The rest of the night is fuzzy.”
But that, like the weekend he spent in Bahamas with P Diddy, is BD. Kutcher explains, “We’ll be at the dinner table, I’ll be telling a story and suddenly Demi will go, ‘That’s a BD story’. It’s ‘Before Demi’, so she’ll put that disclaimer in straight away.”
What Happens In Vegas, which co-stars Cameron Diaz, opens in the UK next week.
