Owen sticks up for 007 Craig

Clive Owen has praised fellow British actor Daniel Craig for his 007 role.

Children Of Men star Owen is angry about the criticism Craig received when he landed the role of James Bond in 2006's Casino Royale, saying Craig actually breathed new life into the spy franchise.

Owen said: "All the s**t" Craig was given was unnecessary.

"They should have been celebrating the fact they gave the role to a proper actor and not a model. He swung it around big time."
