After his unmitigated success with "Control", screenwriter Matt Greenhalgh has decided to plunder music's legendary waters once more. Greenhalgh has been busying himself with the story of John Lennon entitled "Nowhere Boy", a biopic set to be directed by visual artist Sam Taylor-Wood.
Produced by Ecosse Films, "Nowhere Boy" will focus on the Beatle's childhood and subsequent journey to icon status. Much like what "Control" did with the story of Ian Curtis, this effort will follow Lennon as a lonely young man growing up with his aunt and his mother in Liverpool. Finding little affection at home, Lennon turns to his friend Paul McCartney - a friendship that would change the landscape of music forever.
"Nowhere Boy" is currently casting for the major roles and will shoot on location in Liverpool.
