Lakeshore and MGM have announced that Debbie Allen, Charles S. Dutton, Kelsey Grammer, Megan Mullally and Bebe Neuwirth are all set for roles as instructors and supervisors in the upcoming "Fame" remake.

Production begins this coming Wednesday, December 3rd, and Kevin Tancharoen will direct. With the movie due for release next September it's good to see the final cast take shape.

All the new cast members come from strong educational backgrounds of dance and drama. Mullally's a graduate of the School of American Ballet and will portray a voice instructor; Grammer, who attended Juilliard, will play an orchestra maestro; Dutton, a graduate of Yale School of Drama, will portray an acting teacher and Neuwirth, a Tony winner, will play a dance instructor.

Allen, who made her feature debut in the original "Fame," has been cast as the school's principal.
