Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close has revealed that being a single mother almost killed her.
The 60-year-old, who raised her daughter Anne alone after she split from her partner Jon Starke in 1991, also admitted that she still struggles to balance her home life and career.
"The line is, 'Children are like clients – they want you all of the time,'" she said. "When my daughter was about eight she said, 'Mum, I want you all of the time.' And it killed me, because I was a single parent and I knew that I couldn't give her that. I've always been aware that's the only thing she ever wanted."
