Rumours are circulating that "Charlie's Angels" director McG may be moving on from the long delayed new "Superman" movie, with "Bad Boys II," "Pearl Harbor" and "Armageddon" director Michael Bay said to be his likely replacement.
If McG does leave the project it will be for a second time he's jumped ship from the superhero pic as he originally left the director's chair in order to film the second "Charlie's Angels" movie.
Meanwhile the Moviehole website reports that "The Day After Tomorrow" star Jake Gyllenhaal is still in the running for the lead role in "Superman." However a representative for the actor - who was apparently considered for the role of both Spider-Man and Batman recently - stressed that it's still early days, with Gyllenhaal just one name on a short list.
