Armani is a girl's best friend

We all know how important an actresses' clothes are, but Michelle Pfeiffer actually believes her favourite designer is her "soulmate".

The actress says fashion guru Giorgio Armani is the only person who truly understands her "schizophrenic personality", and is partly responsible for her successful film career.

Michelle, who is currently starring in musical remake Hairspray as super-bitch Velma Von Tussle, said she first met Armani back in 1983, while filming Scarface.

She explained: "I didn't know people in the movie industry did such things. I remember thinking, 'Why would I want someone to dress me - and who is Giorgio Armani?' "

"He is now my soulmate. He can adjust to my sometimes schizophrenic personality. I don't want to think about what to wear on big occasions. He saves me from being on those worst dressed lists."
