Classic Atari videogame Asteroids is to crash onto the big screen.
The 1979 arcade game saw players blasting pixelated rocks and flying saucers before they crashed into you.
Since that's all it was, screenwriter Matthew Lopez will have to start pretty much from scratch in creating a story for the film.
Asteroids will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura - who had just finished work on a film adaptation of toy franchise G.I. Joe.
