Christina's first role as a mum

Pregnant singer Christina Aguilera and Tom Cruise's wife Katie Holmes will co-star in the family drama Humboldt Park.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in February - shortly after Aguilera is due to give birth to her first child.

An insider said, "(Holmes) is trying to prove she can do more than fluffy popcorn movies", and starring alongside Aguilera "shows she's willing to take risks."

She sure is, considering Christina's previous acting experience consists of providing a couple of lines in animated film Shark Tale.
