Potter's the biggest film of 2007! That's magic

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix successfully cast a spell over UK cinema audiences - it has been named the biggest film of 2007.

The fantasy adventure, which is the fifth in the series based on the books by JK Rowling, made £49.4 million. It beat second placed Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which took £42. 2 million and Shrek the Third, which made £38.6 million.

The Simpsons first venture onto the big screen took £39.5 million, leaving it in fourth place ahead of Spider-Man 3 (£33.5 million) in fifth position.
