MGM is making a new film about the two rock 'n' rollin' dudes but it won't feature original stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
It's actually a remake which, according to Moviehole, closely follows 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
As in the original movie the two high school students (which would've been a stretch for the original pair as they are both about 40 now) find a phone that allows them to time travel and bring historical figures such as Gandhi and Calamity Jane to the present to assist them with a school project.
The original duo's band Wyld Stallyns have been renamed Atomic Gorilla (why? We don't know).
Matrix star Keanu Reeves recently admitted that he would have liked Bill And Ted to be reunited in a film.
He said: "The most serious we ever got [making a sequel] was a few years ago. I had once mentioned about doing it when we were 40. Now maybe the only shot we have is to do it when we’re 50."
The remake is expected to be a DVD only release. There is as yet no news on who will take the lead roles.
