Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton's signatures have barely dried on the "Prince of Persia" contract and now two famed thesps are getting in on the act. Starring alongside Gyllenhaal's titular prince will be Sir. Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina.

According to Variety, Molina will play Sheik Amar a wise man who soon becomes a mentor to the prince. There has been no word as yet on who Sir. Ben will play but if I was a betting man I would guess that he will adopt the bad guy duties for Disney's "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time".

Mike Newell is the man in the director's chair and the one responsible for trying to halt a run of terrible computer game adaptations and do justice to Ubisoft's property. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing and shooting is scheduled to begin in July here in the U.K. and Morocco.
