Looks like Michael Jackson's This Is It will be moon walking on the bigger screen far longer than expected.
The documentary, which shows rehearsal footage of the late pop superstar preparing for his O2 live shows in London, danced straight to the top of the US box office and is expected to make over £100 million worldwide this weekend.
It was only meant to be on the cinemas for two weeks, but plans are underway to give the film a big screen extension.
Sony Pictures chairman, Jeff Blake, said, "In just five days, Michael Jackson's This Is It has become the highest grossing concert film of all time and we are elated by the response to this special film by fans, critics and moviegoers from all over the world. With this kind of global response, it's clear that the motion picture deserves an extended run and we are going to do everything we can to make the film available to everyone who wants to see Michael Jackson's This Is It on the big screen."
