Ang Lee enjoys "A Little Game"

Just a few months ago it looks like romantic comedy "A Little Game" had imploded into the Hollywood ether amid concerns that it's script wasn't quite up to scratch. But now Focus Features co-chairman James Schamus has decided to breathe new life into the project - and he's recruited Ang Lee ("Brokeback Mountain") is direct.

Schamus himself is currently the rewriting the romantic comedy about a happily engaged Brooklyn couple who decide to test their friends' perceptions of their relationship; after a rumour spreads that they have split up the couple decide to play along to find out what people really think of them.

Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz had originally been set to star in the film, although it's not yet known if they'll return to the project.
