Joy Division biopic Control took the prize for best film at this year's Evening Standard British Film Awards.
The film, which tells the story of the band's late frontman Ian Curtis, won the top honour at Sunday's ceremony in London. The film also won best screenplay.
Helena Bonham Carter was named best actress for her performances in Sweeney Todd and Conversations With Other Woman. Daniel Day Lewis won another award for his mantelpiece - taking the best actor prize for his much-raved about performance in There Will Be Blood.
Away From Her's Julie Christie picked up the outstanding contribution prize.

Best screenplay: Matt Greenhalgh - Control
Best film score: Jonny Greenwood - There Will Be Blood
Most promising newcomer: John Carney - writer/director of Once
Alexander Walker Special Award - Julie Christie
Meanwhile, No Country For Old Men underlined its status as Oscar favourite when it was named best film by the Producers Guild of America in a ceremony on Saturday night.
