He may be able to storm his way through the jungles of the Far East, but poor old Rambo is finding it tough going in the UK.
Sylvester Stallone's fourth outing as the one-man army has been mocked by critics and barred from the biggest cinema chain in the country following a commercial dispute.
Now even the SAS are wading in, with soldier-turned-author Andy McNab saying Rambo "felt more like a bad Xbox shoot-em-up than a film".
McNab added, "There were only about 20 people in the cinema and we emerged as best mates, giggling at the stupid dialogue."
As well as numerous technical quibbles about the ageing star's ability to control heavy artillery, McNab complained about its attitude toward western aid workers, depicted as "wimpy" in the film.
"From my experience on drugs operations in Colombia, I can tell you: these people, even the missionary groups, are hard. They're not crying and manicuring their nails every five minutes. They're tough. They have to be," he said.
"The film feels 20 years out of date," he concluded.
