Heist thriller The Bank Job has knocked Jumper off the top spot at the UK box office.

The British crime thriller, which stars action hero Jason Statham, is the UKs biggest film this week - while fellow new entry Will Ferrell comedy Semi-Pro landed the second spot. Both films however, failed to break the £1 million mark.

Sci-fi action flick Jumper too a downward leap to number three after two weeks at the top spot, while Uma Thurman comedy The Accidental Husband and the Oscar-winning Juno were in fourth and fifth place respectively.

The only other new entry, serial killer film Untraceable, which stars Diane Lane, only managed to enter the charts at number eight.

Bank Job re-imagines the true life incident of a London bank robbery in 1971, which was embargoed by the media. The film claims that a group of criminals, led by Statham, was asked by the Government to break into a bank to steal intimate pictures of a member of the Royal family held in one of the safety deposit boxes.
