David Zucker, the man behind spoofs such as Scary Movie, Airplane! and Naked Gun, is delving into the world of the super hero for his next project.
The writer, director and producer told Zap2it.com, that he's getting ready to start work on Superhero! as soon as he's finished promoting Scary Movie 4.
"There's 12 or so characteristics that are common to all these super hero movies," Zucker said. "When that happens, you have a possibility that you can spoof a genre. So, this super hero genre might be ripe."
Zucker said he will focus on, "cliched" super heroes such as Superman, Batman, X-Men, the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. It hasn't really been done," he said. "Some of these super hero movies have been movies I've actually liked ... They're good, well-structured movies -- so we can steal that."
Due to copyright constraints, Zucker says the film will feature, "characters kind of, sort of reminiscent of Spider-Man."
