A controversial sculpture, which depicts a naked Angelina Jolie breastfeeding has been unveiled.

The life size bronze statue by New York artist Daniel Edwards, who has also made sculptures of Britney Spears giving birth and Suri Cruise going to the toilet in the past, depicts Jolie breastfeeding her new born twins.

Edwards claims the idea was inspired by Jolie's recent W magazine cover, which saw the actress breastfeeding.

The statue will be unveiled in Oklahoma on 11th September as part of World Breastfeeding Week.

A spokesperson for Phantom-Financial, which runs the organisation behind the artwork, said, "We believe the statue sends a beautiful message by promoting the acceptance of public breastfeeding. Mothers should be encouraged to nurture their babies anywhere."

It's reported that the statue will be shown in London later this year.
