Police slam Pattinson's security team

Robert Pattinson's security team has been slammed by New York police chiefs.

The Twilight star's presence in the city while filming romantic comedy Remember Me has caused chaos because of all the female attention he receives.

Pattinson is regularly mobbed by over-excited fans and was even struck by a taxi while fleeing from all the attention. And New York City police officials have accused his bodyguard team of not being able to handle the mob.

A police official told the Daily Star, "Enough is enough. His security people aren't up to the task of keeping him safe, and they have no idea how to deal with the crowds this guy attracts."
