Twilight star wants to direct

Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner has revealed that he has plans to be a star behind the camera as well.

The US actor, who plays Jacob in the hugely successful franchise, has rose to fame because of Twilight but he insists that he has a back up plan if the movie roles dry up.

He said, "I also loved writing and directing. I'd love to get into that. Right now I'm an actor. But I could see that in my future."

Speaking in 2005, while promoting Shark Boy and Lava Girl, he said, "I would love to go the acting route, but if I couldn't, I would want to be like Robert Rodriguez, a writer and director."
