Aja to open the "Gospel"

Alexandre Aja, the French director who enjoyed success earlier this year with horror remake "The Hills Have Eyes", is to adapt French bestseller "The Gospel According to Jimmy" for the big screen. Set in the near future, Didier Van Cauwalaert's book tells the story of a pool cleaner in L.A. who finds out that he's a clone of Jesus, made from DNA taken from the Turin shroud.

 

But before starting work on the script of "Jimmy," Aja will first take charge of "Mirrors", an adaptation of Korean horror movie "Into the Mirror", which is scheduled to start production in January.
