LaBeouf arrested in Chicago drug store

Shia LaBeouf was arrested on Sunday morning after refusing to leave a drug store in Chicago.

The Transformers star, aged 21, was told repeatedly by a security guard to leave the store over suspicions that he was intoxicated.

Police were eventually called after LaBeouf stood his ground, and he was arrested at 2.30 am on Sunday. His bond was posted hours later.

The actor, who was described by authorities as "very courteous and polite", is currently working on next year's summer blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

LaBeouf is the latest in a long line of young celebrities, including Britney Spears and Nicole Richie, to have been arrested over drink troubles.
