Michael Bay promises more than meets the eye

OK, so it's a slow news day but when Michael Bay talks robots in disguise we're all ears. And on his official blog, the man behind "Bad Boys", "The Rock" and err "Pearl Harbor", addressed the many "Transformers" fans out there and promised more of the same from the metal clad behemoths. In his New Year's message Bay wrote;

"For the millions of viewers that logged on this year I want to thank you for the support. Transformers 2 will be coming soon. The new robots are really really unique and there are a lot of them this time".

Paramount/DreamWorks are aiming for a June 26, 2009 release for "Transformers 2" which, judging from Bay's statement, may or may not contain a whole slew of new robotic faces. Mr. Bay, if you are reading this, can I put forward but one word - Contrusticons.

"Transformers" was the fifth biggest grossing film of 2007 at the global Box Office with takings of $706.5 million.
