Ledger family prepare for funeral

The former fiance of the late Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams, and their daughter Matilda, arrived in Perth, Australia today for the actor's funeral.

She arrives a day after the rest of Ledger's family - including his father Kim, mother Sally and sister Kate - returned home. A private funeral for the actor who was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on January 22, will take place in the coming days.

The couple met on the set of Brokeback Mountain and although they split last year they remained close for their daughter Matilda.

Ledger's Brokeback Mountain co-star Jake Gyllenhaal also plans to attend the funeral, according to reports.

In a statement released after his death Michelle Williams said, "My heart is broken.'

Meanwhile it is expected that The New York Chief Medical Examiner's Office will comment this week on the cause of Ledger's death, after the results of toxicology tests are received.

Police found six different types of prescription drugs in the Manhattan apartment where Ledger's body was discovered, including pills to treat anxiety and insomnia.

Police said no illegal drugs were found in his apartment and there was no evidence he took his own life.
