Any budding film maker seeking the ideal movie formula for success in the UK should study a survey carried out by The National Lottery.
Apparently casting Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie as stars with Will Smith and Keira Knightley supporting would guarantee a UK box office hit. Steven Spielberg would have to direct the blockbuster for which you might have to actually win the lottery to finance. Most thought a budget of around £10 million would be required.
Most film fans polled also feel that the movie should be a thriller with one in five preferring a romantic comedy and only one in 200 opting for animation.
