The Wachowskis, currently gearing up for the release of "Speed Racer", are setting the pieces in place for their next project – "Ninja Assassin". James McTeigue, who directed "V for Vendetta" for the Wachowskis, will direct again here and has secured the services of Rick Yune to flesh out the villain of the piece. Yune, no stranger to bad guy territory what with his work in "Die Another Day", will join up with Naomie Harris ("The Pirates of the Caribean" franchise) and "Speed Racer" duo Ben Miles and Korean actor/singer/megastar Rain. "Ninja Assassin" will focus on Rain's character as a man brought up in an orphanage functioning as a ninja training facility. Rain turns his back on his tradition to make his way in the modern world, which brings him into conflict with a rival and nefarious ninja (Yune) from the clan. "Not to give too much away, (but) my character stays within what he was brought up with, and they go up against each other," Yune said. "I'm not a heavy. The characters are ninjas, they are assassins, and there's this mix of morality the Wachowskis are exploring" Yune told the Hollywood Reporter.
