Duchovny stars with Halle as ghost hubby

X Files and Trust The Man star David Duchovny is to star opposite Halle Berry in new drama Things We Lost In The Fire.

Written by Allan Loeb and also starring Sin City's Benicio Del Toro, the story is about a widow (Berry) who invites her husband's troubled best friend (Del Toro) to live with her and her two children after her husband (Duchovny) suddenly dies. As Del Toro's character turns his life around he helps the grief-stricken family cope with their loss.

Fortunately for Duchovny his screen time won't just be the opening scenes, as he'll appear throughout the film in flashbacks.

Danish director Susanne Bier will be at the helm, and filming is scheduled to start next month.
