Maggie's no spank object

Maggie Gyllenhaal will soon be seen in indie drama Sherrybaby, in which she plays a former drug addict attempting to rebuild her relationship with her daughter when she leaves jail.

Perhaps it will be the role that stops people confusing the actress with the character she portrays in Secretary who gets involved in sordid, sexy games with her boss.

"That was the first thing that anybody really saw me in," Maggie told Coming Soon.net.

"So people don't get to say Oh, she's in Secretary but she's also in Sherrybaby so maybe she's not like either of those. First, they just think I'm this like wide-eyed…or did anyway, associate me with Secretary and that girl."

Well, nobody wants total strangers offering to spank them... do they?
