Photographs of the most elusive baby in history have finally been revealed to the world, as Vanity Fair magazine unveils a front cover of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their infant tot Suri.
A spread of 22 snaps inside the mag show Suri with a thick crop of brown hair and piercing blue eyes.
The pictures were taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, and put an end to speculation about why baby Suri had remained out of the public eye for so long, including rumours questioning the child's existence.
Beth Kseniak, a spokeswoman for Vanity Fair, said the magazine had paid nothing for the photographs and unlike pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's first child together (which allegedly cost around $4m), there was no distribution deal tied to charity.
The timing of the pics is convenient for Cruise, who made headlines last month when his Paramount Pictures studio dropped him after 14 years, citing the star's erratic off-camera behavior.
