Through his lawyer, Steve Coogan has responded to Courtney Love's allegation that he's partly to blame for Owen Wilson's attempted suicide.
Love said about the former Alan Partridge star, "I tried to warn Owen (about Coogan)" said Love. "I hope from the bottom of my heart that Owen stays the hell away from that guy."
In an official letter Coogan's attorney adamantly states that the two actors "have never used drugs together" adding that Coogan was "concerned about Mr Wilson".
The actor's lawyer also suggested that Love, who previously dated Coogan, made her comments more out of bitterness towards him rather than concern for Wilson. He wrote: "Your purported concern seems much less likely than your apparent interest in publicly maligning (Coogan)."
