Johnny Depp is said to be desperate to appear in the forthcoming Little Britain movie after seeing the start of the the show’s American series.
Depp is currently working with Little Britain star Matt Lucas on Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland movie and the pair have become friends.
A source said: "Johnny was laying it on thick saying how much he enjoyed the first episode of the series. He said he would do anything to have a part in the movie."
Lucas plays both Tweedledum and Tweedledee in the update of Lewis Carroll’s classic story.
Depp is clearly a fan of British comedy having previously appeared on The Fast Show and The Vicar of Dibley.
