Swank gets her teeth into new Dracula movie

Hilary Swank must have been bitten by the horror bug after filming this year's The Reaping - she has signed on to star in a reworking of the classic Dracula tale.

The Oscar-winning actress will play a TV producer who interviews an arms dealer, only to find that he is the Transylvanian vampire himself.

The film Fangland is based on the book by John Marks, himself a former 60 Minutes producer (hmm, we doubt it's an autobiographical tale then) and the first draft has already been handed in by The Messengers writer Mark Wheaton.

But does the world really need another vampire movie? That is the Million Dollar (Baby) question.
