Who's a lucky boy then?! Up-and-comer Garrett Hedlund (who?!!!!) has bagged himself the lead role in Disney's eagerly awaited remake/redo/reboot of "Tron" (previously "TR2N" and "Tron 2.0"). Billed as a sequel of sorts to the 1982 cult classic, "Tron" is being helmed by Joseph Kosinski and will see a return to the pixellated virtual world for Jeff Bridges as he reprises his role as Flynn.

Hedlund's slight but impressive CV includes such supporting turns as those in "Troy", "Friday Night Lights" and "Four Brothers". Hedlund will play the lead, a man who finds himself pulled into the world of a computer and retracing the steps of a character from the original movie...yes, you guessed it, that will be one Mr. Kevin Flynn (AKA Bridges AKA The Dude).

Bruce Boxleitner, who played the title character in the original, is returning for a cameo as well with Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett also on board. Principal photography is due to commence in the Spring.
