A star-studded cast including Tim Roth, Sophie Okonedo and Toni Collette have signed up to star in a new TV movie about the tsunami that killed around 220,000 people in December 2004.

The two-part film will follow different groups of people caught by the natural disaster that devastated the Indian Ocean coastline.

It will be aired by HBO in the US and the BBC in Britain, reported Contact Music.
