Mamma Mia! star Pierce Brosnan was pleased to return to Pinewood Studios where he filmed Bond movies in the past, but joked about returning in a camp musical as opposed to super spy.
"It was great fun going back to the scene of the crime doing this movie, kicking over the ghosts left right and centre," he joked. "Daniel Craig and the company weren't there so we had it all to ourselves.
"But I did have this image of me strutting down the corridors in my spandex suit and high heels bumping into Dan looking all butch and Bond like. That would have been interesting."
Brosnan also told The Mirror what attracted him to the role in the film adaptation of the musical based on Abba songs.
"This was the last thing I expected in this career of mine. But when the offer came in with a phone call from the States and they said Meryl Streep, Mamma Mia!, Greece... I said 'Great, I'm in.'
"I didn't even ask how much, I just said I would do it. The next night I went to see the stage show and I saw the set and then they started singing and I thought 'oh dear, oh dear'. But by the end of the evening I was enchanted by the whole thing."
