Tasteless publicity stunt or honest-to-goodness mistake? We wouldn't want to speculate but the release date of the forthcoming comedy Disaster Movie could probably have been more tactfully timed.
The movie spoof, starring Carmen Electra, is scheduled to hit screens on August 29th - the third anniversary of the Hurricane Katrina disaster which devastated the city of New Orleans.
Given that much of the film was shot in Louisiana, it starts to seem like an even more extraordinary gaffe on the part of the filmmakers.
Extra awkwardness is brought to the mix by the fact that joining the Baywatch star in the movie (and apparently in a boxing ring at one point) is Kim Kardashian, girlfriend of American Football star Reggie Bush who plays for, you guessed it, the New Orleans Saints! So he might have some explaining to do to angry fans...
