Ben Stiller's is in hot water after using fake movie Simple Jack to advertise controversial new comedy Tropic Thunder.
Stiller plays actor Tugg Speedmann who recently made a film about a mentally handicapped man in a desperate, and deeply flawed bid for Academy Award recognition. Simple Jack's viral website parodies Oscar winning movies such as Forrest Gump and Rain Man, and features the tagline "Once upon a time there was a retard."
But DreamWorks execs have met with disability groups and decided to remove the Simple Jack website for fear of causing offence.
Producers insist that the subplot is not making fun of anyone with disabilities, but attacking the actors who make such movies.
And there might even be more public relation trouble when the movie does finally hit screens, with Robert Downey Jr controversially playing a black soldier in the comedy.
