For the third week in a row, and yes you read that right, Nicolas Cage's "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" has topped the US Box Office Chart with a phenomenal $20 million haul. That almost takes it up and over the $200 million mark since its release which, let's face it, it quite staggering for a sequel that no one really wanted.
Climbing up the chart to number two this week is that other box office behemoth "I Am Legend" with another remarkable week with a $16.3 million gross. Although the real story is that this is a mere $5,000 more than the 'little-indie-that-can' "Juno" which has been steadily moving up the charts for three weeks to settle on third place. "Alvin and the Chipmunks" falls two places to four with this week's only new entry in at five in the shape of "One Missed Call" - a Japanese horror adaptation starring Ed Burns.
"Charlie Wilson's War" continues its steady work at six as does Hilary Swank's "P.S. I Love You" a non-mover at seven. Similarly stubborn is "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" at eight with Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd" languishing down at number nine in only its second week of release. And rounding off the top ten is a British success story in "Atonement" - the hotly tipped Oscar contender climbs four places to ten after its spate of Golden Globe nominations.
