Sleazy Hollywood should concentrate on kids, says Ricci

Christina Ricci is set to turn her back on her saucy old screen persona as she admits that her new role in Speed Racer has steered her towards family films.

The sultry star of such sex-fuelled movies as Black Snake Moan and The Opposite of Sex says that Hollywood's obsession with sleaze, drugs and the darker side of human nature is unhealthy.

The news may come as a huge disappointment for some fans of some of the 28-year-old beauty, but, after enjoying her appearance in the Wachowski Brothers' fantasy racing movie, the Sleepy Hollow star says it's all about the kids from now on.

She says: "I wanted to do a kids movie again. I wanted to do a family film. There are so many family movies for kids but they don't actually teach you anything.

"Speed Racer really stresses integrity and morals and a love of family, and that's something I think is really important and a trend we need to bring back."

Good for the kids... Not so good for the Dads!
