Ben's has ulterior motive for casting baby bro'

Ben Affleck has admitted that he cast his younger brother, Casey, in new film Gone Baby Gone because he knew full well it would make him look "smart" when Casey is acclaimed for his performance.

"I cast him because I was lucky to get him," says the older, more established half of the pair. "I got to be the guy who can say 'I can show people how good he really is.'"

Casey – who plays a private investigator who's looking into the kidnapping of a young child in the film – has an understanding with his brother that made filming easy, says Ben. "I'd say 'Do this like Mr So and So', and he understood what it meant."

We're glad somebody does.

Gone Baby Gone, with which Affleck makes his directorial debut, is released later this month.
