Hollywood legend Lauren Bacall has branded Tom Cruise's decision to split from Nicole Kidman as "ridiculous".
The veteran actress, who worked with Kidman on the 2003's Dogville, called the Mission Impossible star a "maniac" for leaving Kidman for Penelope Cruz.
She said that Kidman was "unhappy" during filming on the indie movie due to her split with Cruise. She added, "Tom had taken off for Penelope Cruz or some goddamn thing — one of his more ridiculous moves. Tom Cruise is a maniac. I can’t understand the way he conducts his life."
Kidman herself has weighed in with her thoughts about her relationship with Cruise compared to that with her current man, Keith Urban.
"I didn’t foresee it, that you can meet somebody who you have a deep and more profound love with,” she said. "I know he (Tom) has the same thing with Katie (Holmes). You move into a stage where you’re able to be a more fuller person in your relationship.”
