Jay-Z is withholding his new album from iTunes, saying it should be heard whole or not at all.
The megastar rapper has made an unofficial soundtrack to the number one film American Gangster, which stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
And he says fans should approach it just as they would a film. "As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles," his statement said.
He joins other artists, such as Radiohead, who also insist their albums cannot be sold track by track.
