The third instalment is not even in the cinemas till the end of the year but makers of the fourth High School Musical are already planning a fourth.
However, it's doubtful stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu will be playing the leads in the fourth movie.
High School Musical 3: Senior Years hits cinemas later in the year - the first time the hugely successful Disney musical series has been given a big screen release. Disney Channel president Rich Ross said: "We are writing High School Musical 4."
"Are we going to have the all the cast back? Probably not. Will we have some of them? I hope so. We have learned that just putting a number next to a title is a very old idea. We have to have a new story."
Despite the third part getting a theatrical release, it is expected that this next chapter of the franchise will again be a TV movie.
