Meryl Streep is not the only mature actress who refuses to go under the knife. Her Mamma Mia! co-star Julie Walters also says she wouldn't have cosmetic surgery.
The 58-year-old British star admits she has previously felt tempted to have a little work done, although she's not concerned about facial lines, but decided she wouldn't allow herself to go through with it.
"I think I would let myself down if I had anything done," Walters told The Mirror. "I understand why people do it, though. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think 'If I just did that', 'just a little...'
"Sometimes friends say to me about a colleague, 'Isn't it marvellous. She hasn't had any work done'. And I think 'Oh, I know she has actually.'
"I wouldn't let my hair grow out grey though because that would depress me - but I am not bothered about lines. They are a part of my life. My husband isn't bothered and if I have to have some kind of work done to be attractive to a person, then I just don't want it."
