Sacha Baron Cohen feared for his life during filming of a crazy stunt for Bruno.
The comedian was working on the eagerly awaited comedy when one of the unwitting cast members turned nasty.
The climax of the film sees Bruno - the flamboyant Austrian reporter - hosting a real cage fight to a baying group of Arkansas locals. However, the majority of them were less than happy when Bruno started to kiss another man.
Cohen recalled, "There were 2,000 drunk good old boys baying for blood.
"I was told not to worry, it would take someone two minutes to climb in the cage. The audience booed me and I challenged them to a fight thinking I was safe.
"Then a 6ft 8in steroided guy catapulted over the fence in two seconds and stood in front of me as the crowd cheered, 'Kill him, kill him'".
Luckily, Cohen managed to escape through a secret door.
