It just goes to show...everyone loves an honest crook. Guy Ritchie's gangster caper, "RocknRolla" has stormed to the top of the UK Box Office Chart with a hard-earned £1.5 million opening weekend. Perhaps not quite the bonanza Warner Bros. were hoping for but still enough to see off the continued threat of "Mamma Mia!" at 2. Despite coming in to its ninth week on general release, the sing-a-long took only £100,000 less than the brand new, suited-and-booted "RocknRolla". Also new at 3 this week is Keira Knightley in "The Duchess". Pathe gave this one a strong push on 426 screens (60 screens more than Ritchie's latest) only for Knightley to inspire a third-placed finish. Dropping all the way down to 4 from last week's number one slot is "Step Brothers" with spoof "Disaster Movie" debuting at 5.

"The Strangers" continues to make good business down at 6 this week just ahead of the blockbusting "The Dark Knight" at 7. Meanwhile, on their way out of the Chart are "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" at 8 followed by "Get Smart" at 9. Surprisingly, what with Nic Cage leading the charge in the US Box Office with his "Bangkok Dangerous" the prolific star could only manage a tenth-placed debut for the hitman actioner this side of the Atlantic!
